That’s why much of the work begins long before any decision itself: it starts with the infrastructure that organizes, transforms, and enables data to be used in meaningful ways.

This is exactly what the Machine Learning Engineering team does. More than building artificial intelligence models, they ensure those tools run with performance and security, even with billions of interactions every day.

The mechanism that enables good decisions

Kaiubi is a Machine Learning Engineer on the Data team. His role is to ensure that this mechanism works at its best. He reviews flows, designs scalable solutions, oversees tests, and, above all, collaborates with other teams so the intelligence behind the models translates into real value day-to-day.

“When you’re working with more than 100 million customers, you can’t do things halfway,” he says.

Beyond the technical work, Kaiubi mentors teammates, supports others on the team, and contributes to architectural decisions that shape the systems that will allow Nubank to keep scaling. Even far from the customer interface, his impact touches almost everything that happens inside the app, including decisions that feel automatic, but are powered by a lot of engineering behind the scenes.

The routine of those who build the foundation of our products

At Nubank, not every Product Manager is focused on features visible to the final customer. Some are building the foundations that make everything else possible. That’s the case for the team behind our lending platform, a group responsible for the infrastructure used by dozens of teams and essential for sustainable, stable, and scalable product growth.

The mission here is to think about the present and the future. To design solutions that support today’s flows, while also preparing for new products, new integrations, evolving regulations, and different markets. This requires constant alignment with engineering, well-structured decisions, and a very clear vision of what we want to build. 

The product no one sees, but everyone uses

Aline is the Lead Product Manager for the lending platform. Her work powers every simulation, contract, and renegotiation inside the app, yet her main deliverables never appear on the screen. And that’s exactly what makes her role so strategic.

“It might not look like it, but there’s a lot happening behind a single tap,” she explains. “What I do doesn’t show up on the screen, but without it, the screen doesn’t work.”

Aline works side by side with engineering teams, defines priorities, translates technical requirements into product vision, and ensures that all teams involved stay aligned with the platform’s evolution.

What’s behind Nubank’s stability and scale

Not every technical challenge involves launching something new. Sometimes, the challenge is ensuring that what already exists keeps working flawlessly, even with billions of weekly interactions, dozens of interconnected teams, and a customer base that grows every single day.

This is exactly the mission of the Cloud Infrastructure team: developing the systems that guarantee stability, scalability, and performance across the entire company. It’s long-term work with deep, often invisible impact: the kind that allows every other team to build with confidence and autonomy.

The challenge of growing without losing performance

Julio is a Staff Software Engineer working directly on this front. He has contributed to systems for real-time metrics and complex integrations, always focusing on tools and architectures designed for exponential growth.

“Here, I’ve had the opportunity to work on engineering challenges that very few places in the world can offer,” he says. “We’re talking about planning the future of our infrastructure so it can grow from 10 to 100 times its current scale.”

Beyond the technical responsibilities, Julio takes part in strategic decisions that shape the evolution of our systems and collaborates with many different teams to keep everything running securely. His work ensures that Nubank stays what it is today, and is ready for what comes next.
